December 24th, 2008:

I obtained two other projects besides the handful of other ones I'm working on. I am currently supplying music for an indie game called Iron Roads which is a railroad business simulator prototype; in addition, I also supplied music to Jedi Academy, a Knights of The Old Republic mod. I also am creating an electronic dance project much like Cascada with a voice student at the U of A named Elissa Dicks. Anyways I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for taking the time to visit my site..

December 12th, 2008:

Welcome to BL:Composition's new layout. Here you'll find the latest information on what I'm working on and links to my latest compositions.

January 12th, 2008:

Hi everyone, I hope everyone had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years. Merry Christmas to all my Serbian/Ukranian/Balkan friends who just celebrated their holiday a few days ago. As for me I am wrapping up scoring 143, the love short by Charles Smith(student at Niagra College in Ontario), and I'm also now in the process of scoring Bobby Ryan's action short, Prime Vantage(he put alot of work into this film and the quality resembles closely to a feature movie). Once both films are done and locked, i'll try to put them on my youtube account to let everyone see them in their finished products; in addition, I got some smaller game projects/mods I am finishing up in the coming weeks. I managed to get ahold of a bunch of indie game companies and it looks like I'll be scoring some small to medium sized flash/mobile games along with some high end theme packs used for smart phones like the Blackberry, Samsung Instinct etc.

I will also will be getting a steady stream of student films around North America every month or so from a variety of film schools. Other projects in 2009 is a commercial possibly in March and a feature movie tentatively in the summer with the same director.

Just to let other composers/sound designers know, i'll be attending GDC(game developers conference) in San Francisco in March. If you want to meet up with me drop me an email and I'll arrange a time to meet you. I always love meeting people in the music industry so feel free to contact me. I also have new orchestral tracks on my demo. Please check them out and thanks again for dropping by my site, I really appreciate it.

January 19th, 2008:

I added new orchestral tracks to my demo reel. If you got the chance take a listen. As for projects, I am about 70% done scoring Bobby's Prime Vantage, and completely finished with the indie game Iron Roads along with 143 a love short shot in Ontario. I am also gradually scoring music for Human Armor Games. As for upcoming projects I'll be working on a few flash games, mobile games along with some student films in the coming weeks. Other possible projects in the not to distant future are from the Pittsburgh Film makers society, a commercial and possible feature from the same local director.

For university students that attend the University of Alberta, my music will possibly be playing on campus with the pilot Sub channel Sub Vision along with some local productions linked to the Alberta Student Film Festival/U of A Society for Creative Film Making. I hope everyone is back in the swing of things with work and school. I'll be attending the Game Developers Conference at the end of March in San Francisco and the beginning of May in Vancouver. If anyone wants to meet up please send me an email.

I am just about to finish cueing Prime Vantage, the action short from Kelowna, BC. Once Bobby finishes adding the sound effects and the final edits, he'll be showing the film at a variety of film festivals. I also added a ton of tracks to Human Armour Games upcoming mod for Half Life 2(http://humanarmorgamestudios.blogspot.com/). Judging by how they like my work I'll be probably working on their independant first person shooter.

February 2nd, 2008:

As for upcoming projects I spoke to Erik Paulsson, the producer for Crazy 8 which is a film festival in Vancouver. I will be working closely with the film teams and assisting each with scoring. The event is backed by the entire Vancouver film industry, corporate sponsors like CBC and the Director's Guild of Canada. Close to about 1000 people will be able to hear my scores during the event at the Centre for Performing Arts. Further information is located at http://www.crazy8s.cc/.

Other projects include a future collaboration with upcoming local award winning director Sorin Mihailovici(http://www.419thenigerianscam.com/site/) who won awards at the Rappahannock Film Festival, the Edmonton Film Festival and had his work played at the West Hollywood International Film Festival in Los Angeles. I will also be scoring a documentary about wheelchair basketball by Kathleen Jayme from Vancouver. She had her previous work ,"True Player" which aired on Shaw Tv about half a dozen times.

February 13th, 2008:

I'll be scoring Barry Le's feature film, A Mutual Friend in July; in addition, I'm currently doing some work for The Story Project. For inquiries please note I have fees for my compositions. I sometimes do waive or lower my fees, but that depends on the project(i.e the director, or producer thats attached to the project), but the vast majority of the time I will charge.

Composers spend hundreds to thousands of hours refining their craft, and we spend thousands of dollars on our equipment and samples. So it be only natural that we get paid for our services. Please only serious inquiries.

I might possibly will be supplying additional minor tracks to Jay Purcell's feature film, Dichotomy. Jay's originally from London, but currently resides in Seattle. His previous works garnered many awards and television appearances. Below are some stills of the movie. Jay's focuses mainly on sounds from the environment and the use of soudscapes for his movies.

I made an arrangement with Mike Peterson who is the organizer for the 4th Annual Crazy8 Film Festival in Calgary. I'll be donating 10 minutes to one of the lucky winners for their next film.I will also be collaborating with Calgary director Lyndon Cassell on his short, River Mad.

March 22nd, 2008:

Since it's the end of March, festival season is fast approaching. I am a sponsor for the Crazy8's Film Festival in Vancouver along with the 4th Annual Calgary Super8 Challenge. I also sponsored The Canadian Liver Foundation's "The Battle of the Bands". For each sponsorship I donated some of my services to support upcoming talents with their films along with helping emerging rock bands with their songs.

I am also excited to announce I will be partnering with fellow composer and sound designer, Jim Welch. Jim currently works with Funimation. A company that localizes Japanese Animation dvds(Dragon Ball Z, Full Metal Alchemist, Last Exile, Mushi-shi). These are seen at HMV, Future Shop and any rental outlets. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas and both of us will merge our services to help provide sounds and scores to feature films/games. His website is found here.

May 11th, 2008:

Its been awhile. Sorry for the lack of updates since the Game Developer's Conference at the end of March. The conference was a blast. I met so many developers and especially many of my game audio friends from Audio Gang(http://www.audiogang.org). Pictures of the conference are below.

I spent a majority of my time the past few weeks working on and promoting my new joint audio production company, The Audio Coalition. Jim Welch, James Nixon and me have combined our skills into this new company.

As of late I am getting back into the indie film and game scene bidding on a bunch of projects and networking with more film directors and game developers. Hopefully some of those bids will go through. I have some new tracks on my demo. So if you have the time please check them out.

June 1st, 2009:

BL:Compositions For New Media & The Audio Coalition will be sponsoring Vancouver's 2009 Singapore Film Fesitval along with Calgary's 2009 Global FilmFest. I have to thank Ben Tsui for working out a deal with promoting both my companies.

In other news The Audio Coalition(http://www.theaudiocoalition.com) which is my primary company has three new members, Ansane(Anson Randal and Duane Perera - fantastic upcoming hip hop duo working closely with artists signed on Puff Daddy's label), and Don Ehret(professor of guitar at Alberta College). Most of my time and promotion focuses on TAC so this site now will be a secondary site. We're currently bidding on a ton of indie games and films possibly a few documentaries and hopefully we'll be landing some really promiment horror and thriller features in the fall.

We got a new music player. Thanks to Cam(my webmaster) for supplying me with this great application. I also have a ton of new tracks so please take a listen and let me know what you think. Thanks and Happy Canada day to everyone.

July 22nd, 2008:

Through negotiations with Spencer Kent(the marketing organizer for 2009's Vancouver Film Festival), I'll be a sponsor at their festival in exchange for PR. I'm really excited since there are a few negotiations underway for some upcoming projects. One of them is now in its final stages of contract negotiations so I'll make an announcement of the project once things are finalized. If you guys have the time please check out some new tracks on my demo reel.
